Weekend recap

This weekend was an amazing weekend :)

On Friday, my girls(and landon) and me went out to celebrate my besties bday!

Sadly we had a huge camera dilemma. One of us broke our camera, one of us left our camera in a different vehicle, and one of our camera's wouldnt stay alive. It was just freaking awesome! NOT!!!

{she's in love with penguins and has been since i knew her in 3rd grade..every christmas she gets piles of penguin stuff from me and she finally decided she wanted a permanent penguin with her at all times)

And I've been wanting this for the longest and am so glad I finally got it

{We wanted them on the top of our feet, but due to the fact that we work out so much they wouldnt let us because we would have to wear shoes, so hers is on the inside of her left ankle and mine is on my left wrist (which was the 2nd choice of where I wanted mine)}

Then we went to her resturaunt of choice, Longhorn Steakhouse! I had the yummiest Citrus Chicken ever. It has pineapple and oranges on it and was cooked in their juices along with some other stuff.. YUM!!!

Then of course we road everywhere with my top down in my beautimous car and danced and sang to our fav. songs including "Shawty it's your booty" and we got hollers from lots of guys ;) nah i'm forreal and we ate it up, well except for a few creapy looking ones..lol

On Saturday I did my usual flea market run with the grandparents and my mom and then we ate subway which made me sick, but after I was feeling better I headed right back to town to shop, shop, shop :)I got a few cute dresses for church!

Sunday I went to church and then back to my grandparents house where I fussed and cheered at the tv with my grandaddy! Go Braves :)

It's been an amazing weekend, but now it's back to reality and back to study, study, studying for my anatomy and physiology test!!!

my daddy built me a life size play house in the back yard. I would ask what it was and he would tell me that it was my mom's shed and that's what I thought until my bday when they had bows on the door and a sign that said to carie :)

hmm..my mood definately is the chip picker for me. I sometimes go for blue doritos, sometimes for red, and sometimes I just prefer a plain chip, and sometimes I would like a cheetoh. It pretty much depends on what the snack machine has because thats about the only time I ever eat chips.

If you really knew me

I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do my "If You Really Knew Me" post! Most of you know about the showon mtv, but I on the other hand have only seen commercials. Bad me, I know! I am such a slacker! I've heard it's a really good show though and might actually try to watch it one day soon!

If you really knew me, you'd know that:

*I am highly terrified of snakes. If I see one outside or on tv I usually will dream about them at night and try to fall out of the bed because I always end up thinking they are in the bed with me. It's crazy. Hopefully this little bit of talking about it isn't going to give me bad dreams tonight.

*I LOVE mustangs! I used to own a 91 that was white and convertable with a black top, but I passed it on to my sister and got a 95 that is also white with a convertable black top. I love my cars to be noticeable. I get that from my brother who has a silver, red, blue that changes color, and lime green mustang that is sooo pretty. Seeing as how I don't have to money yet to get all that fancy with my car I stick with the pink theme. I have pink writing, pink tags, pink visors, pink everything and I am putting pink air vents and a pink gear shift on my christmas list :)

*I love, love, love August until January 1st. This is the time my family has the most birthday get togethers and of course Thanksgiving and Christmas. My mom and me have this thing where we find bargains all year and pick up stuff and put it up for Christmas. We have even been known to hide it from ourselves.

*I love, love, love to workout. Zumba is my favorite. I'm hoping to one day soon be able to become a Zumba instructor. My teacher at the college was a great contributor to that and really wanted me to do it because I loved it so much. One day :)

*I love to cook and most definately bake. I love trying out new recipes!!! I am also a stress baker. If I am upset or have had a bad day, you know where to find me!

*I hate talking on the phone. I don't know what it is about it, but I've come to the conclusion that I hate hearing my voice over the phone and hate other people hearing it or am scared that I sound funny or something. Geez, idk. Anyways, I text all the time and I swap between text and email if I'm home. I hardly ever answer the phone unless it's my mom or somebody I know really needs something. My best friends know not to call me, so if they actually pick up the phone to call then I know somethings up and I will answer, but everybody else usually gets the silent treatment.

*I've always wanted to deliver babies and I hope to one day do just that. I am hoping to get a job in labor and delivery after finishing up with this nursing degree and I plan to go on later and become a nurse midwife or maybe, if I have a great cheering squad, become an OB-GYN.

*Crowds freak me out. I always feel like people are staring at me. Stores like Rue2, Forever 21, and WetSeal make me so nervous and I get fussy and irretable by the time I get out of there. I guess this is why I love Kohl's and Ross so much. SOOO much space to shop!!! And I love online shopping also.

*I collect salt shakers. I absolutely love to find new and different salt shakers.

*I love Carebears (and my nickname has been Carebear all my life), Dora, and Hello Kitty. I'm like a little kid when it comes to this stuff.

*I for sure can not parallel park and lots of cars around me creap me out. I get so nervous in small parking lots!

*When cooking I am constantly running the water to wash my hand because I can't stand for them to be dirty.

*In 9th grade I became a model. I was originally hired for my long hair that they loved so much, but after completing classes I did everything from commercials, print, and even runway. Those were the best days of my life. Sadly I got sick and couldnt travel and although I would love to get back started now I'm just not sure how.

*I was Miss Junior Greater Albany Teen and competed in Miss Junior America and National American Miss.

*I collect shoes. I have a walk in closet full of shoes and am running out of space, but that won't stop me from buying more shoes. Promise!

*My sister is eleven years older than me and my brother is 9 years older. They both have been through pretty hurtful divorces which lead to a huge fear of commitment and marriage for me. I'm scared to death to find something like they had and I'm scared that my first marriage will end in divorce also. My parents are still married though and they give me hope.

*I'm scared of never meeting anyone and of not being able to have kids due to my endometreosis, ibs, ibd, chrohns disease, and my slow colon, but I will pray for a good man and if God sees fit for me to have children I will find a way.

*My new years resolution was to get my mom and me back in church. Church's in my hometown don't feel like home, but I grew up going to church an hour away in my mom's hometown where my grandparents and all of my mom's family are from. That church is home and that is where I went back. I am so glad to be back! We have been going to church all year and I am sooo glad that I got us back there.

*I used to play softball and was a pitcher for an allstar team. Those were the days :)

*I absolutely love anything that smells beachy or hawaiian. I love cocoa butter lotion and any coconut or pineapple scents. I absolutely love anything pineapple (pineapple sundaes, pineapple, pineapple salsa, pineapple cheese balls..etc.) and I love blue coconut slush's from Sonic.

*I'm obsessed with rings and antique looking jewelry. I am currently wanting a snake ring, an owl ring and nechlace, a lion nechlace, and any type of antique looking jewelry. I also have a longing for a brass nuckle nechlace. I absolutely love jewelry!

*I have one tattoo of birds that I got across my back shoulder on my graduation day. I got it as a rememberance from my granny that I spent most of my days with throughout my first half of my life. And also to show a symbol of me flying away and leaving my struggles behind me. I missed a lot of school in my junior and senior years of highschool due to being sick and the teachers though I was playing when the doctors took me out on homebound and made a teacher come out to the house and bring my work from the teachers at the school. The teachers made it extremely hard on me and the students thought it was a joke and that I had things easier than them. They tried to keep me from graduating and up until the day before graduation I wasn't sure that I was even graduating. One of my teachers wouldnt give me a chance and tried to fail me. I had to go back and take 20 test for her in 12 days. I did it and I passed. Those birds remind me that no matter how hard my struggles are that I can always fly away stronger than ever.

Baby Shower Weekend

This weekend I had the wonderful pleasure of throwing my sister in law a baby shower. After opening baby shower gifts she got up and my brother was standing behind her and everybody told them both to sit down and we also suprised them with the wedding shower they didn't get to have because they were so far away. It was a great turn-out. I love when my family and friends get to mingle together and I have them both here at one time! Anyways, here is the pictures that I know y'all want to see.

We had a wonderful time and they are happy about all of their goodies!

I think I did a pretty good job considering we had a 2 year old and a really bad 6 year old that we can't handle here while I was cooking and decorating and preparing for the shower. She told me she was going to bury me in the ground at one point in timw. We don't know where she gets this stuff but when my brother gets her his weekend she is so hard to handle and we area soo tired when she leaves. She doesn't want to listen to anyone and at this point we have no clue what to do. Apparently she doesnt listen anywhere else though because she constantly gets in trouble at school and her mom says that her parents wont keep her anymore because they can't handle her. We have no clue what to do, but we love her!

{one} who's the funniest person you know?


Umm..I know plenty of funny people, or lets just say that a lot of people can make me laugh. One of the funniest people I know would be my best friend, Morgan.





{two} where you a Michael Jackson fan?


Not too much. I actually was scared of him, but I love Thriller and Billie Jean :)



{three}what was your favorite book as a child?


hmm..im not sure! I read lots of different books. One that keeps coming to mind is the book about the zebra and his underpants or underwear..lol


{four} what's the most delicious meal you have ever eaten?

hmm..this is hard. I make some mean meals and I've eaten some yummy meals. All I can tell you is that I seriously am craving some of my Mom's(my dad's moms recipe)dressing and some cranberry sauce and all that yummy stuff you eat for thanksgiving :)

{five} if you could eliminate one thing you do each day in the bathroom so you never have to do it again, what would it be?


I seriously hate shaving!

{seven} what's the best place near you to get a drink?


depends on whether I want a cold or hot drink. I go to sonic for peach teas, cherry dr. peppers, and all kinds of yummy slushes, but if I want something hot like my fav. chai lattes or a giradelli dark chocolate extreme coffee thing or to try out different stuff then I love to go to books a million/joe muggs which is usually where my bestie and me go on Wednesday nights! We used to hang out at sonic all the time, but those days are over..lol..now its the drive through and go!





{eight} what kind of music can you just not stand to listen to?


I really like just about any type of music. I would say classical, but I was in band from middle school through highschool and I played the tuba, so I can't say classical or any of that kind of stuff, so I don't know if there is really a kind i cant stand or is there? I really can't stand this old time country music my brother in law listens to that adds 30 years to his age. I mean its for real oldie country like the kind you hear in old western movies..EEK!!


{nine} who and when was your first kiss?

in kidergarden on the play ground. my crush chased me around on the playground with all his friends trying to catch my friends who were trying to keep him from getting me. I got tackled and he layed on me..haha..how cute? too bad I have no clue where that boy is today..lol

{ten} what three things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years?

DVD's, CD's, and probably books unless they find a way to make them out of something besides paper which comes from trees

Busy Weeks

I am so sorry for taking a bloggy break! I have been busy, busy!

After going to NC a few weeks ago to get my stuff and pick up my brothers things, we brought back my sister-in-law, her daughter, and my nephew. We spent much of our week swim swim swiming as Vianne would say.

And then this last week my brother brought home my niece and him and his wife went to Tampa for the week so he could start looking for a house and getting things situated with his new job at the base. Apparently he got there and they had messed up his orders, so now he is here for a week and then back to nc to work until a few weeks into September.

Anyways, I had a 2 year old, a 9 year old, and an 11 year old to watch all last week. We had a good time swimming and going to the park and they enjoyed picking out meals to eat that they liked :)

Here's a rundown of last weeks meals (that the kiddos chose):

Monday: Thai Chicken
Tuesday: Pineapple glazed ham
Wednesday: Homemade Mcgriddles
Thursday: Homeade Pizza
Friday: out
Saturday:Birthday Party
Sunday: ribs/birthday party

We took the kids to fun park to pla golf and ride go karts on Friday before going shopping and they enjoyed it.

Then Saturday we did our usual morning breakfast and fla market fun with m grandparents. After lunch we headed to my cousin's little boys birthday party. All of the kids enjoyed it and it was everybodies first time meeting my new niece, Vianne, and they all loved her. She fit right in with all of the kids and had a reall good time. It was a water/diego party and all the kids had fun in all 4 of the pools and with the slipping slide. Some of the parents got out there with the kids torwards the end of the party and gave everybody a good show. Everybody was chasing everybody with water balloons and cups/buckets of water and the water hose was even gotten out. The kids had a fun time soaking the adults.
Then we went to my mom's favorite place out of town back where her parents live, Whataburger. My grandparents met back up with us and we all enjoyed our yummy food that was most definately not good for me..lol

Then Sunday we went to church. I was happy to have my sister and my nieces and nephew in church with me. I knew there was a song I wanted my sister to hear and I had to ask my grandma to request it. She did and it most definately touched everybody like I wanted it to. I love the way our church band sings "aint no grave gonna hold my body down" and I knew it had to be sung. It was an amazing church service.
Then we went home to have lunch and cake with my whole family to celebrate my Grandaddy's 76th birthday which is today! He had a wonderful birthday with everybody there! I love my grandaddy and hope to have many more years with him :)

We came home and cooked ribs and had a big dora birthday cake for Vianne's birthday! she turns 3 in a few weeks but would have a hard time celebrating it any other time because of all the moving and traveling and they wanted the kids there. She had a good time and has been enjoying all of her new toys :)

My sister and her boy and girl left for Nc this morning, but my brother and his wife and Vianne will be here this week. It is going to be another busy week. I start classes back on Wednesday and the baby shower is on Sunday.

I really need a recipe for a blue punch. Any suggestions?

Monday happy and sads!

I'm happy because:

~my babies are home! I've had my niece, Vianne, who is 2 and my nephew, Logan, who is 9 with me for the past week. I love having kids around! I've missed it. As most of you know I took care of Logan until he was about 8 and moved to NC. And my brother finished up work in NC and my niece, Chasity, road back with him. My brother, his wife, and Vianne will be heading to Tampa tonight to start looking for a place to live and so he can sorta kinda start work, but I have Chasity and Logan until next Monday :) YAY!! I've missed them!

~I'm home so that means lots of swimming everyday! I couldn't swim all summer at my sisters house and we only went to the beach 3 times. As Vianne says, "I like to swim, swim, swim!" :)

~I went to church yesterday like usual, but this time I had my sister in law, Logan, and Vianne with me. Of course my grandparents go to church there also. During church Vianne sat on the front row between my grandparents and it made me smile, because I used to do the same thing when we went to church there when I was younger. It was perfect and I was so happy we was able to make it to church and the kids were very good :)

~My mama is taking off half days this week, which means I get to spend lots of time with her and the kids before I start back to school nect Wednesday!

~I have been able to cook everyday and that has made me extremely happy. I love to make dinner and have it ready when my parents come home from work(well atleast when my mom comes home from work, dad eats whenever he gets home). I couldn't cook while I was at my sisters house, so I am soo happy to be in the kitchen again! I also love to play music and dance around my kitchen while I cook :)

~I also am happy because I went shopping at kohl's and got some new cute shoes and a couple sweater/shrugs to wear over my dresses when I go to church, and a new scarf and belt. And then i went to Rose's Sunday passing time until my Grandma got out of class and we could go eat and I found a pair of sandal heels for a dollar! Thank goodness for having small feet and being able to wear 6 nd 6 1/2's :)

~I've completed the invitations for the shower and got all the decorations and all the food planned out. I can't decide on games, any ideas?



Now for the bad:

~A friend of mine that I met through the church is headed to Lee University next week, but he had to deal with a horrible loss this past week. His grandmother went to see Jesus and although she is in a better place it is still hard on the family.

~A very loved lady of the church was diagnosed with breast cancer this week. She plays the guitar in our church band. Please keep her in your prayers.

~Another member of the church, a very loved man, who's wife is my Grandma's best friend passed away this week.

~My grandma's brother is struggling with cancer also. He has 6 tumors in his brain, some in his lungs, and other places(i'm not sure of the rest, but I know he has more). He is having a hard time.

Which leads me to my next sadness this week

~My aunts brother in law has been battling cancer also. He's been very strong and his daughter took him to Florida this past week hoping for a heeling and when he got there he turned for the worst. He stopped breathing and spent the week on machines. When asked whether he wanted to give up or fight by his wife infront of the doctors he was told to bight on the tube for yes and they said he bit down so hard. But sadly, we found out during dinner yesterday that they had taken him off of the machines and he had gone to dance with Jesus. When the call came in my grandaddy answered the phone. His body language told us all that something bad was being told on the other end of the line, my grandma started flipping out and jumped up checking the id called and telling him to give her the phone, he finally said it was my aunt and she sat back down, but we knew that Mr. G had passed :(

~Then, last night there was a really bad wreck here in town. Nobody knew right away who was involved, but we later found out that 2 teenagers that are friends with many of my friends ran a stop sign and hit another vehicle with a 30 year old man in it. The man died at the scene and the boys died before making it to the hospital. One of the teenagers had just become a father to a baby girl recently. The man also had two little ones that he left behind. It is such a sad dad here in town.

~As if that's not enough to make me sad, we are still planning on selling our house and moving somewhere else :(

~My dad doesnt want us to lose this house if something happens to him and wants us to be somewhere where he knows we are alright. He is scared that his friend that we rent the house from now would kick us out if something happened to him because that's just the type of person he is.

~My dad has been struggling also. It scares me. He wont go to the doctor, but he can't eat without choking. Anything he eats or drinks he chokes on. He has gotten to where he just doesnt want to eat and he has been very tired. We can't get him to go to the doctor, but he really needs to. I think I'm getting him to come around. He also needs another colonoscopy. He has had colon cancer in the past and is supposed to have a new one every 6 months to a year and it has been well past a year since he has had his last one. He also has to wear long sleeves and hats all summer (even though he works outside) because he has a constant battle with skin cancer. He just recently noticed some more really bad spots and is going to have to go to the doctor to get them taken care of. It worries me a lot. Please pray that I get through to him and he gets everything taken care of and whatever is causing him to choke is something that can be taken care of!

~Also please pray that I get through to my mom about going to the doctor also. She has not been to the lady doctor in more than 5 years I know for a fact. She really needs to go and she doesnt want to, but please pray that I get through to her.

~Also, (I know your thinking, "geez is this girl ever going to get done with all this negative", but I need to get it out) my grandaddy has not been himself. He had an ingrown toe nail back a few weeks ago and they gave him a shot for infection, but although it took care of the infection it made him really sick. Now he is not himself. Usually when we go to the flea market he runs off and leaves us and goes around 2 or 3 times before we finish and picks at us and rushes us, but now he drags behind and I noticed yesterday while we was at his house that he was stumbling a lot. Please pray that he gets better and comes back to his normal self. I don't like seeing him like this. He has a birthday next Monday that we will be celebrating Sunday with all of the family after church!

~An lastly, please also keep my grandmother in your prayers. She has been bleeding internally and they can't find the reason why. She has stints from an earlier problem and she really needs your prayers. They are running tests to find out what is going on.

Salad. I could eat salad all the time. I love it!!!

hmm...this is hard. I don't know anybody I would really like to be besides myself. Maybe Cinderella.

fall. not too hot, not too cold. changing of colors. back to wearing cute clothes. fairs. football games. bonfires..the list goes on!!!



{seven} what's your biggest phobia?
umm I have a fear of crowds. They make me nervous and anxious and put me in a really bad mood and I feel like everyone is looking at me and they make me mad..lol



{eight} would you rather swim in a pool or the ocean?
pool can't stand the salt in the ocean..i'm going to be so sad if we get rid of my house with a pool and dont get another house with a pool. I love my pool. I've literally been in it everyday since I've came back from NC and it's pure heaven, and a great workout :)



{nine} what did you eat for breakfast today?
fruity pebbles with my little vianne :)



{ten} if you could only listen to one song for the next month, which song would it be?
hmm this is hard, i like tooo many songs, but i definately am loving this one right now
