Alright ladies, today I have a day time set of pictures:
For my day time look, I put together a black and purple floral skirt from ross for 6.99 with a purple tank(thrifted), a black shrug(ross 8.99), a black belt, black and diamond sandals, and a necklace borrowed from my mother.Mommy, what are you doing?
And then we have my night time look: Can't you tell I was mad. I gt frustrated and Ms. Photographer decided to snap this..GRRR
This look is the same skirt, tank, and shrug as the daytime outfit, but I swapped the shoes to a pair of Mia2 heels from Kohls for 12.99, a gold belt(thrifted), my gold class ring, and my set of 3 peace sign rings from Kohl's for 2.99, and a gold necklace borrowed from my mother.
Lastly, my mom loves to participate also:
She is wearing a shirt from Ross's for 9.99, jeans from Ross (12.99), and Apt 9 shoes from Kohl's for 4.99.

Party Party Party!!
Alright ladies, you might as well start calling me the questionista, I have two more topics to discuss.
Earlier today my sister called and asked me to help her plan my nieces birthday party because she's not good at planning. My niece will be turning 11. It didn't take long for me to remember that my niece had mentioned a rodeo party. I looked up some stuff and decided we would have the back yard set up like a rodeo with picnic tables and then a place to dance. We would have the guests wear rodeo attire. We will decorate cowgirl hats, play limbo, play dance freeze, twister, stomp the balloon, etc. So I was trying to decide on what foods to cook and what kind of cake to do..any suggestions? And any other tips on games, party favors, decorations, etc?
Next,
My bestie called me to discuss her sons birthday party. He will be turning three. She wants me to help pick out a theme and help her bake the cake and get ready for the party. So ladies, what does a three year old like or what is a cute theme for a three year old? He doesn't watch tv that much, so he isn't a fan of diego or any cartoons. So what does that leave? The only thing I know that he does like is cars and dinosaurs. I need help! Any help is greatly appreciated!
After all of this I am thinking I should change my major to party planning!! I have always wanted to be a caterer and a wedding planne, but around here I wouldn't do good in that line of work, or I may be wrong because we don't have any of those around here :)

Are you ready for your interview?
I have two questions ladies!!!! I know I know, I ask to many questions. I'm sorry. I'm indecisive so I always need help :) and who better to help me than the best bloggie friends in the whole entire world..who's that you ask? Well duh silly, you!!!
1.) What should I get my mom for Mother's day? What are you getting your moms? And what would some of you moms like for Mother's day?
2.) What are some healthy desserts? Okay that was kind of contridicting. What are some desserts that are better for you? Dessert you can eat on a diet?

My weight battle
Alright ladies, as much as I hate to admit this, I think it's time :(
I have a major problem with my weight right now. I mean I don't hate myself for being the size I am, but I'm just not happy. I'm so tired of thinking my friends are the same size as me only to find out they are a size four while lucky me is an 11. And what hurts even more is the fact that they can sit there and brag about their weight and size right in front of me not even realizing that they are a lot smaller than me. And then what is even worse is when they call themselves fat and they clearly are not so I'm sitting here thinking what do you think about me. My moms co-worker is a 50 year old wanna-be teenager who is anorexic and bulimic and I stay on her about eating all the time, but she hit a nerve the other day about herself being fat and she couldt eat one freaking m&m because she was sooo fat already. I went off. I asked her how she thought she made others feel and told her that if she couldnt eat an m&m for it making her fat that I must need to completly stop eating myself for a month because apparently I was an ox. She was like no, no, no, but people don't realize how it makes others feel. And just when I thought I was losing weight because I had cut back and was din Zumba and playing tennis,my best friend kind of bailed on me and we stopped playing tennis and when I took my pictures for fashion Friday the other day I wanted to cry. I looked pregnant. I know you will probably go look at that post and say no maam you are blind, but I only posted the better pictures of the bunch and I cropped the cute face one because I had an embarrassing gut in it. After that I decided to get on the scale. At the start of watching my foods I weighed 150 and I made it down to 136 in one month. After taking those pictures I got on the scale because I was so unhappy and OMG 158. :( For the past few weeks I have been watching my calorie intake and eating light. My mom also jumped on the bandwagon. I've been eating lots of fruits instead of junk food and picking salads over fries at rsturaunts. I hope I start nocking this weight off. I want to be happy with myself. I don't care to be a size 2 or anything, I would be happy with a 7. I just want to have a little confidence and not feel like I have to wear heels just to make me have confidence.
On to a positive note, I really want one of the one piece bathing suits with the open sides and back. Or a new bathing suit because out of the bazillion bathing suits I have none of them are hitting the spot. Any suggestions?

What can cucumbers do for you?
What Cucumbers Can Do For You!
This information was in The New York Times several weeks ago as part of their "Spotlight on the Home" series that highlighted creative and fanciful ways to solve common problems.
1. Cucumbers contain most of the vitamins you need every day, just one cucumber contains Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin B5, Vitamin B6, Folic Acid, Vitamin C, Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Potassium and Zinc.
2. Feeling tired in the afternoon, put down the caffeinated soda and pick up a cucumber. Cucumbers are a good source of B Vitamins and Carbohydrates that can provide that quick pick-me-up that can last for hours.
3. Tired of your bathroom mirror fogging up after a shower? Try rubbing a cucumber slice along the mirror, it will eliminate the fog and provide a soothing, spa-like fragrance.
4. Are grubs and slugs ruining your planting beds? Place a few slices in a small pie tin and your garden will be free of pests all season long. The chemicals in the cucumber react with the aluminum to give off a scent undetectable to humans but drive garden pests crazy and make them flee the area. (WOW)
5. Looking for a fast and easy way to remove cellulite before going out or to the pool? Try rubbing a slice or two of cucumbers along your problem area for a few minutes, the phytochemicals in the cucumber cause the collagen in your skin to tighten, firming up the outer layer and reducing the visibility of cellulite. Works great on wrinkles too!!! (DOUBLE WOW)
6. Want to avoid a hangover or terrible headache? Eat a few cucumber slices before going to bed and wake up refreshed and headache free. Cucumbers contain enough sugar, B vitamins and electrolytes to replenish essential nutrients the body lost, keeping everything in equilibrium, avoiding both a hangover and headache!!
7. Looking to fight off that afternoon or evening snacking binge? Cucumbers have been used for centuries and often used by European trappers, traders and explores for quick meals to thwart off starvation.
8. Have an important meeting or job interview and you realize that you don't have enough time to polish your shoes? Rub a freshly cut cucumber over the shoe, its chemicals will provide a quick and durable shine that not only looks great but also repels water.
9. Out of WD 40 and need to fix a squeaky hinge? Take a cucumber sliced rub it along the problematic hinge, and voila, the squeak is gone!
10. Stressed out and don't have time for massage, facial or visit to the spa? Cut up an entire cucumber and place it in a boiling pot of water, the chemicals and nutrients from the cucumber with react with the boiling water and be released in the steam, creating a soothing, relaxing aroma that has been shown the reduce stress in new mothers and college students during final exams.
11.. Just finish a business lunch and realize you don't have gum or mints? Take a slice of cucumber and press it to the roof of your mouth with your tongue for 30 seconds to eliminate bad breath, the phytochemicals will kill the bacteria in your mouth responsible for causing bad breath.
12. Looking for a 'green' way to clean your faucets, sinks or stainless steel? Take a slice of cucumber and rub it on the surface you want to clean, not only will it remove years of tarnish and bring back the shine, but is won't leave streaks and won't harm you fingers or fingernails while you clean.
13. Using a pen and made a mistake? Take the outside of the cucumber and slowly use it to erase the pen writing, also works great on crayons and markers that the kids have used to decorate the walls!!
*I absolutely lov cucumbers, especially with a little black pepper and salt or in some italian dressing or vinegar..YUM! How do you like to eat cucumbers?*
*I got my speech out of the way and my teacher came in my moms office and told me I did really good :) YAY!*

Hi, I'm Carie and I'm addicted to fashion
Today has been crazy! I decided to do this little fun thing that's been going aroun bloggy land. I've seen it on quite a few blogs today, so now I guess it's my turn :)
I was in the worst of moods today and one of my teachers kept getting on my bad side. I was not happy at all. I did better today in Zumba while wearing my ankle brace. I have my final in there Monday which means dancing my heart out for a grade and my paper for the class is due Wednesday. I also found out today I have a speech Friday.
This is how much of a fashion addict I am: When I found out I had a speech to do Friday, my first reaction was not "Oh no, my speech is not done", but "Oh no, what am I going to wear" :)
I only have a week and a half of regular classes yet and in two weeks I will be down with all school until Fall! YAY!!!
