It's a constant battle

Y'all my weight is starting to be a really big issue.

I dropped down to 145 last summer/fall and it seemed that when my mom and I started watching our calories that we started gaining. My mom had been a set weight for years and started to gain and me I lost 15 pounds only to gain a ton back.

Spending the summer at my sisters didn't help at all. I usually don't eat a lot of bread and never really snacked except for a night time snack. We ate sandwiches everyday for lunch and corndogs and for supper we ate really fast because her husband was a fast eater and was rushing us. I snacked sooo much. Candy, chips and salsa, icecream. I started buying fruits torwards the end because I could feel my pants getting tighter.

When I came home I found that I was no longer at 145 and I wasn't even in the 50's. That's right ladies, I am now at my highest weight ever, 167. UGH!!! I hate to see that number on the scales and I can't even wear my old sizes in dresses and skirts. IT sucks. I already had a big enough butt, big hips, and big thighs. Now those things are worse and I got a tummy to go with it.

I try my best to snack on fruits, but I just stay sooo hungry and it kills me to fight it. Im fighting it but I'm still not losing. I was taking a step aerobics class at the college, but I had to drop because it wasn't step aerobics that I knew of. We stayed on the ground doing push ups and sit ups and lifted weights. I ended up gaining a few pounds of muscle.

My mom and me have started running and walking but I just dont know how to get this weight off of me.

I need some really good diet plans or lifestyle changes. I don't want to gain the weight I lose back, but I want to lose and feel healthy and not fill so big when I'm with my friends or around other girls. I have low self esteem already and this newfound weight isnt helping!

Ladies help me! Please! Any diets or lifestyle changes that have worked for you please send them my way. They will be gladly appreciated!

Wee bit Wednesday!

{one} what is your happiest childhood memory?
I miss going to the lake for weeks throughout the summer. My granny would always fix full course meals inside her camper for supper and we would have some of her cooked turkey or ham that she made and cut fresh for us tohave sandwiches for lunch. All of her kids (her 5 sons and one daughter) and their families (us) would always have campers around hers or somewhere inside the park, although we would always spend most of our time at hers and my grandpas. My cousins, my uncle (who had a mental disorder and was much like a kid. he has my best friend) and me would ride our bikes or wal around the park. We would swim, tube, play horseshoes, and fish. My cousin and me would always go boy hunting and met a new boy almost every time we went although she was the one that always ended up dating them when we left and left with their number. I really didn't care because I figured I would never see them again anyways. Even though my parents met at the lake :) Those were the days! I miss them!

My granny died when I was in fifth grade. She had been gone from Sept-April and my friends, my mom, and I were all sitting at the table eating cake and talking. Two of my friends randomly looked at my front glass door and started screaming and crying. They were in histerics claiming that they saw some woman at our front door and then she disappeared, not walking away but disappeared. Well, my granny's picture was behind the hymn book on my moms piano and how the fan hit it enough to bring it out from behind there, idk, but I picked it up and asked them was it her. They started screaming yes and by then I was jumping in the chairs with them freaking out. My mom got us all calmed down and back to enjoying ourselves and the phone rang. My mom answered it and this "lady" asked to speak to me. My mom gave me a weird glance and handed the phone to me. I answered it and the voice on the other end, my granny's voice said, "Carie, this is granny. I was just wanting to tell you happy birthday" I dropped the phone and started having a panic attack. I was gasping for air and choking and couldnt breathe. When I came to I was screaming and crying and my friends were all consoling me and then my uncle and dad barged in the back door laughing and my uncle said it was him. I still believe it really was my granny because his voice transformed into hers. My mom also says it wasn't a man on the phone, but the voice of my granny. That night we all pulled out the couch beds in the living room and watched movies five girls to a bed. We all slept with the covers over our eyes and I'm sure they were glad to get out of here the next day. I later found out from the counselor (just recently in the past few years) that the two girls that saw my granny had come to see her for quite some time after the incident. Creapy right?

50's fancy dinner outfit help!!!!!please!!!

Hey ladies!

I've been a busy, busy bee :)

I just got back from taking another Anatomy test..eek!! The same test I came all the way back home last Wednesday to take. I didn't do as good as I had hoped :(

On a better note, my nephew is almost here! She has already started dialating and he is dropped so hopefully he is here in the next few days!!! YAY!! They say he is already a 7 lb baby! I hope he makes his arrival this week, because next Friday is the big fancy dinner and silent auction that my Moms department(the english and humanities{art, theater, music, etc.}department) at the college puts on. I loved it last year and this year we actually have a theme. The theme is the 50's. I know right, how fun? but I can't seem to find anything to wear for the life of me. I want to be very cute and have a killer outfit. My moms boss and a couple of the other young teachers and workers are getting costumes from a local store for it, but I don't want to show up in the same outfit as someone else. As most of you know, I like ot stand out and it's going to be hard already in a room full of people dressing to outdo the person next to them. I want to look HOT, Classy, and Fabulous!!!

These are some of the fashions from the 50's:

So ladies, I need your help big time!! What should I wear? I won't have a problem with shoes at all. I wish my hair was longer, because I'm really loving that last hair style. Please send me suggestions on outfits, accesories, makeup? please, please, please?

Thanks in advance,
I love y'all!!!

This past crazy week!

It has been such a busy week. My grandma got worse instead of better and her doctor kept telling us one thing and th3e changing it all around.

Anyways by yesterday I had done lost my mind.

I stayed at my grandparents house with my Grandaddy while my Mom stayed at the hospital with my Grandma. I stayed up all Tuesday night studying for a test and even drove an hour back home yesterday to take a test. I got home and got a shower and got ready to go and then decided that I wanted to get online and make sure I could take my test during the lunch hour and when I got online I couldnt find my A term class test listed. I was very confused. We have a test every Wednesday in there. Well it dawned on me that one week listed on the calendar we didnt have a test and guess what, this was that week. Just my luck!

Well last night when I got to my grandaddy's house to go to sleep I realized that I had left my sleep clothes and my blanket back at the house in a bag. Lucky me!

And last night I was following my Grandaddy home from the hospital and I'm not even sure I stopped at a stop sign after he went through it. Lukily it was late and nobody besides us was on the roads. I may have stopped, but I just don't remember it.

And last but not least, sometime today I got to talking to my aunt and Grandaddy and I literaly said "I wonder how I did on my test yesterday". Yep, that's right, the one I "DIDN'T" take!

This week has played such a toll on me.

They finally gave my grandma pretezone yesterday and it made her feel sooo much better and her oxygen level came back up and she was able to go home this afternoon! I am so glad to see her back to her normal, bubbly self!

news for today

Ugh, I didn't do so hot on my test today! Not what I needed to do, but my grandma was admitted into the hospital this morning with pneumonia. Please keep her in your prayers! She is in a lot of pain and is very miserable and is definately not herself.

And then, on the way home tonight I got a call saying that my sister in law is more than likely in labor. Everytime she goes into labor the hospital gives her medicine to stop it because the doctor's messed up her due date. Her original due date was September 13th but they somehow messed it up and it became October 19th and she is in no way going to make it that far. She's been having steady 13 min contractions for the past week and today they are 9 minutes apart and shes been throwing up all night. She went to the doctor today before she started throwing up and having contractions that close together and he didnt check her, but said that the baby had dropped and was ready to come and that they "might" have messed up on the due date and that if she went into labor that they wouldn't stop it. Well they called the hospital tonight and the doctor on call said to not even come in because all he was going to do was pump her with fluids and send her back home.

Well, that is my news for today! I hope everyone is having a much better day than me!

Labor day weekend

I feel like the worst blogger ever!!!! I have been so busy!! I didn't even get to celebrate Labor Day because I was studying my five chapters for the week so I could pass my test tomorrow. Wish me luck. I need all the prayers I can get.

I did however go out with the girls and little landon again Friday night. We ate mexican and one of my friends that works there was quite suprised when I walked in all dressed up and started hollaring at me and whistling. It was hilarious. Anyways, we ended up getting free dessert from our waiter who was another friend of mine. I love that place and have known the people that own in and work there for 10 years or so. Anyways, Morgan and me shared a sopapilla topped with fried icecream and all those yummy toppings and Marina and Landon shared a flen/flaun(whatever it's called). I am in love with fried icecream and sopapillas and vowed that if I could find a man that could cook it as amazingly as they could that I would have to make that man my husband :)
We went bowling after that which was crazy because I got my booty whipped..lol

On Saturday the grandparents came down and we did our weekly flea market run followed by lunch at hot dog king (yuck!).
Then mom and me went to Big Kmart where we hit upsome amazing sales. I got five dressy jackets and two skirts for 30 dollars and my mom got 3 skirts and 3 shirts for 30 dollars. I was in heaven. After that we went to one of my fav. shoe stores in town and I picked up the cutest zebra heels that are open toed with a red bow thingy on top for only 9 dollars..hello..im now officially in heaven!!!

Sunday we went to church with the grandparents and then had a yummy porkchop dinner at their house. My mom made us a pineapple upside down cake for dessert. YUM! And then we spent the afternoon watching, or should I say fussing at the braves.

Yesterday, I spent my day studying for this darn test tomorrow. I did take a break to go eat at Johnny Carinos with my parents and to watch the braves game!

Now, I'm planing on studying my booty off today and am pretty sure I will need some coffee tonight to ksep me awake while I study, study, study!

However, if you could send me a blue candy apple you would be my bestest friend in the whole wide world!!! I want one soooo bad!!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful labor day and is having an amazing week!

This life is what you make it!

This life is what you make it. No matter what,

you're going to mess up sometimes, it's a universal

truth. But the good part is you get to decide how

you're going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends -

they'll act like it anyway. But just remember; some

come, some go. The ones that stay with you through

everything - they're your true best friends. Don't

let go of them. Also remember, sisters make the

best friends in the world. As for lovers, well they

come and go too. And babe, I hate to say it, most

of them, actually pretty much all of them, are going

to break your heart. But you can't give up because

if you give up, you'll never find your soul mate. You'll

never find that half who makes you whole and that

goes for everything. Just because you fail once

doesn't mean you're going to fail at everything. Keep

trying, hold on, and always always always believe

in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will,

sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin

up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because

life's a beautiful thing & there's so much to smile about.
