It's that time again..yup another Monday, but you know what makes Mondays fun, Friend Making Mondays.
Today the topic is 10 things I can't live without, so here I go:
1. My family: My family may have drama, just like other families, but I love them. I couldn't go a day without them.
*Also I thought I would share with yall that I am no longer mad at my brother and my best friend. My best friend and me talked about it all and we are ok. My brother, though I am still a little upset with him for even trying to date one on my friends, is still my brother and I love him very much. He is currently having his own hard time overseas right now, that I will share with y'all later in another post.*
2. My laptop: Oh how I can't live without this thing. These past few days dealing with this darn internet at my sisters has literally sent me through withdrawals. I hate not being able to check my stuff and keep up with all of your lovely blogs. Yay for the internet finally being fixxed and if my sisters bf comes in and messes it up again, I will blow a fuse..lol
3. Romance books: Grr I was going to post a pic of Harlequin Romances(my fav.) but I'm on my Mama's laptop and for some weird reason it wont right click. Anyways I absolutely love laying in bed at night reading. I read a lot of things, but I have a growing collection of romance books that I absolutely adore. I get rid of millions and get millions back all the time, but I am constantly reading :)
4. Mountain Dew: I love me some Mountain Dew and I usually atleast have to have a cup full a day or I feel like I'm shutting down..haha
5. Chapstick: I absolutely can not live without chapstick because I can stand for my lips to feel funky..haha
6. Red fingernail polish: I like other colors of nail polish, but I always revert back to red. I love red polish because it always reminds me of classy and feminine. I can'tive without it.
7. One tree hill: I absolutely can not live without my Monday night fix of One Tree Hill.
8. Sonic: I can't live without milkshakes and slushes from Sonic.
9. Paint: I paint as a stress reliever and wouldnt know what to do without it not that I've picked it up.
10. Kohls: My fav. store is Kohls and I love the sales and clearance racks. I definately can't live without myKohls.

Alrighty everybody I have decided to post the winner 30 minutes early do to the fact that I am very upset with my best friend and my brother right now. I dont know who I am more mad at, but Im having a hard time comprehending this. I'm very upset. Last night after my nieces game, I realized my brothers email was the person my best friend was texting. When I looked over to make sure I wasnt just seeing things, she decided to cover it up. I was very pissed when I realized for a fact it was him she was texting. I figured it was something more when she hid it from me. I had an itch to look at her myspace today to see what exactly the start of the convo was and it was no other than my brother calling her baby and saying he was sorry to miss her graduation among other things. I cant even get a message back from the boy, but my best friend and him are having a hidden relationship when he has a gf. Oh no, I am beyond pissed. My parents and my sister wont let me email him because he is overseas. So I have to deal with this for how long. Do they not understand what this is going to put me through and what this is going to do to my relationships with both my best friend and my brother. I'm so sorry. This was supposed to be a happy post, but I have to go to Nc tomorrow and I will be up there til next Friday. I will have internet as of this Friday though.

Trade You Tuesday!!
Sante Fe Soup:
2 lbs 93% lean ground beef
2 large white onions, chopped
2 pkgs dry ranch dressing
2 pkgs taco seasoning
1 small can green chiles, drained
1 - 16 oz can kidney beans
1 - 16 oz can pinto beans
1 - 16 oz can black beans
1 - 16 oz can diced tomatoes
1 - 16 oz can rotel tomatoes
2 - 16 oz cans white shoepeg corn
2 c. water
1. Brown Ground Beef & Onions
2. Add dry mixes
3. When all pink color disappears, add all cans and water (do not drain beans and tomatoes, this makes the soup)
4. Simmer at least 2 hours
You can top with any of these items: Sour Cream, Green Onions, Black Olives, Shredded Cheese, Tortilla Chips or Corn Chips

Friend Makin' Mondays!!!
Today the topic is 10 things that I am thankful for, so here goes everything..lol
Here are 10 things I'm super thankful for:
1. I'm thankful that God gave me this life to live and that he sits by me everyday and watches me make bad decisions along with good ones and I'm glad he sticks with me through it all. I'm glad he lifts my head up when I'm feeling down and I'm glad that no matter what I can turn to him. I'm glad that he is my God.
2. I'm thankful for having a loving and wonderful family. I'm thankful to have two married parents that treat me like I belong. I'm thankful that my mom is my best friend. I'm thankful for those little birthday parties we have out of town all the time with her side of the family.
3. I'm thankful for spending a few short years with my Granny. I'm glad I got to know her and I'm glad I spent the last years of her life with her. It was hard watching her take dialysis and seeing how much pain it put her through everyday. I'm thankful for learning how to cook from her and I'm thankful for getting to chance to know her.
4. I'm thankful for having wonderful friends. I learned this weekend how much I cherish my friends. I was having a hard day Saturday after learning some news about another friend who is currently in Aphganistan. My friends came and pried me out of the house and took me out and they kept my mind off of eveything and then yesterday they showed up at my house and spent the day with me. I'm so thankful for them because I wouldnt know what to do without them.
5. I'm thankful for Saturday mornings. Saturday morning my grandparents drive an hour and come and spend the morning with my mom and me walking the flea markets and spending time with us. I cherish this, because I dont know how much longer I will actually have this with my grandparents.
6. I'm thankful that my mom and me are soo close and that I can pretty much tell her just about anything. I love spending the rest of my Saturdays with her and I really hate leaving her at home while my daddy works, so I try my best not to. Yes, we fight sometimes, but isnt that what Mothers and Daughters do..lol
7. I'm thankful for having a roof over my head.
8. I'm thankful for having a vehicle to get me from place to place, even if it does get picked on because the hood doesnt match right now.
9. I'm thankful for God sending my sister on the right track. I'm thankful for him getting her out of this town and letting her take the kids with her. I'm thankful that she has changed and I hope our relationship only goes forward from her, so that one day we have a relationship like my Mother and her sisters.
10. I'm thanful for a wonderful Airmen as my brother. I'm thankful for everything he has done for me and I'm thankful for what he is doing for my country right now. I'm thankful that he has always been there for me no matter what.

Things just keep getting better..hmmph
This is just not my week. When things get better, they go down hill. It sucks.
I found out today that when my brother comes home in a few months it wont be for long. He will be home possibly two months only to leave again and spend Thanksgiving and Christmas and lord only knows what else in Aphganistan. He will be over there for atleast 4 months. It is also mandatory as the Iraq trip he is on now was not. He volunteered to go to Iraq, not knowing he would be going to Aphganistan so soon and for the length of time. He's pretty upset because he misses his baby girl everyday. I know so many of you also go through this and I know it has to be so hard for y'all, just as it is for us.
Also I got a text today from my lovely best friend. Last night before everything went down I mentioned how our senior class should have a scavenger hunt around the city. Well she went to school today and scheduled this for next Friday knowing I was going to be out of town. I am sooo mad, yet again!
Not to mention, last night after I spent half my night thinking and crying, I had a bad dream involving snakes. Snakes are one of my biggest fears, so you can bet it didn't go over well.
I also wanted to thank everyone for all the lovely comments I woke up to this morning. They sure did lift my spirits until about 6 o'clock tonight. Thanks wonderful bloggy friends!! Y'all are all true friends!!!

Carie's whining again!
It's time for me to whine!! I have had a horrible week. I can't get my mind off of so many things. Prom is the week after my bday on April 17th. Up until Saturday, my best friend and me were going together with the rest of the group. Well Saturday night she finally told me she had a date now. This is quite devastating for me because I'm not pretty and I can't just go out and get guys. On another note, I can't go out and get guys period because these same so called friends would run back to the teachers and tell them I was out looking for a guy for prom. So I asked her to help me look for a date. So tonight she was like you can go with so and so and so and so and she kept going on. Well then she said a name and I was like well I dont want to go with a guy thats going to be spending all their time trying to get you to date them and then she says well oh well I guess I cant help you because they all want me. WTF? I mean seriously!!! I am by no means as pretty as she is and she knows that and her mama and her rub it in my face 24/7. That reminds me, thats how I found out she had a date. I went to her house to help her decide between two dresses she had borrowed from her cousin and her mama brings up the guy and keeps talking about him and finally I caught on to the fact that she had a date. I was sooo mad. She didnt even have the decency to tell me. How am I going to find a date in this length of time if I cant go out looking for one, I'm not attractive enough to get one, and I can't get no one to help me. I'm really upset and am to the point to where if my Mama had not already paid for half the payment of my dress, shoes, and accesories that I would just tell everybody that I'm not going and that they can find another place to have the after party. I'm so tired of being ran all over and used. Now I will try to go back to sleep or just lay in bed and cry some more, but I really needed to get that off my chest.
Why does everything always feel like a competition between us :(

Check it out!!
Cake and soccer
Yesterday I decided to make a Giant Choc Chip Cupcake with Chocolate Chip Icing! I had been told that it would take a while to get the center of the cake done, what I didnt realize was how long it would take..lol. I kept trying to get it done and then it started cracking and was still yucky inside. Next thing I know the part that isnt cracked is super crunchy and the other is extremely soft. I gave up. Anyways the cake turned out really yummy, but was very crunchy around the edges. Also I hated using the chocolate chip icing with this cake because it was very hard to put it on the cake. Oh well, it was a first try. Here is a picture of my not so glamorous cake.
Yesterday we also went to my nieces soccer game. She is so prissy..lol. After she realized we were there everytime she came out of the game, she came and sat with my mom and me. My brother told us to take lots of pics of her and send them to him. She kept wanting to get the camera and take pics for her daddy, so I finally just gave her my phone to take pics. Then she wanted to text them to her daddy and I tried to explain to her that we couldnt do that because he was over there. I told her I would put them on myspace and send them to him that way and she was like okie dokie. Here are the two pics I was told to send to him:

Guess what I did today? Well first I had to cook a meal for a final and take pics of it..lol..but after than my mom and me went to my brothers ex wife's house. Can you believe that? She brought my niece out and let us see her. I was so happy. We even had a convo with her and you could tell she was very worried about my brother and from what I've heard they have been talking every morning (our time) so hmmm.....I was very suprised at how nice she was and she was talking about stuff my brother would like over there but cant have and we were very suprised. Kadance, my niece, kept asking when is Daddy coming home? Will he be here tomorrow? Tell my daddy to come get me and take me to your house. And then she said the saddest thing of all, I love my daddy and I'm sooo worried about him. She asked me in these exact words " How much longer does my Daddy have to stay in Iraq?" I thought that was so cute for a four year old to ask. A( my brothers ex) was like she doesnt understand and she really misses and worries about her daddy. We are going to her soccer game this Saturday and I cant wait to see her again.I hope everything goes okay and A's attitude doesnt change because her family is around.

Jumbled up info :)
Hmm I'm loving spring so far. I'm loving not having to wear jackets and I'm loving being able to just go outside and paint and not have to worry about nothing in the world..hmm...mmkay enough of that.

Target made me sad :(
I am sooo upset with Target right now. Our Target is seriously slacking on its items. I learned today that they do not have this 
that I have been wanting in order to make this 
for my birthday. Now I am going to have to try to order it online. Also I learned that they dont have the mono-kini bathing suits that I have really been wanting to hide my fatness until I can atleast get rid of it. Target really upset me today. They better be glad they had a dollar section that cheered me up a teeny tiny bit..lol
My city has also been taking over by runners and bikers and tourists this weekend. We had a wrestling that at the Civic Center and Steve Harvey has been in town doing book signings and stuff and also we have been having a Mardi Gras Festival. Fun, Fun, Fun!!
Also my 100th post is getting closer and closer and I have not yet decided what I want to do. Any suggestions?
Also, I'm struggling trying to figure out how to change my header..can someone please help me or tell me how to do it..something..please?????

Parties, Parties, Parties!!!
Okay so I found out yesterday that I'm going to be having 3 parties two weekends in a row. lol. One of them really doesnt count because it involves eating a cake after having Easter dinner and letting the kids easter egg hunt because yes my birthday is actually on Easter.
The other one that weekend is actually happening the day before Easter at my house and it is a bonfire. I am planning on having some friends over and having a fire outside. We will probably have things like hotdogs, baked beans, cole slaw, some type of punch, stuff like that. Also I was planning on setting up some games outside like horshoes or volleyball. If anybody would like to offer recipes and suggestions of decorations, games, and anything else, please do so, because I need all the advice I can get.
The next weekend is my prom. Last year we had a pool party at my house after we went to prom for a little bit and I say a little bit because we dont stay long at all and by party I mean like a few sets of friends coming back to the house and hanging out at the pool, not a whole pile of people. lol. They also know that no alcohol is allowed and its just clean fun with friends. Well everybody had such a good time last year, they asked if we could do it again this year at my house and my mom said it was fine because she would rather us be at my house and safe than out somewhere else and it's not like she's asleep if there here but she doesnt let them know that..lol..Last year my mom and sister set up mini sandwiches, different kinds of chips, candy, drinks, and a snow cone machine outside for us. So also if you want to give any suggestions on this party you can.

Arm fat!!
I thought I would start by letting everybody know that things with my mom and me cooled off, though she doesnt think she did anything wrong, I just let it go.
Secondly, does anybody have any suggestions for how to get rid of arm fat? I have like really huge arms and im self conscious about it.
GRRRR...
I'm losing it. My mom made sure we went and got me a dress for prom and everything and then now all I hear everytime I mention my birthday next month is I just spend $400 dollars on a dress. She knew how much the dress was going to be before we went and we didnt even get the dress I originally wanted, we actually got a dress that was like $317 or $319 and the lady added the shoes and earrings. If she had not wanted to buy them she should have told the lady not to. I'm tired of hearing about it. I dont care anymore. I'm tired of fighting with her and I'm about to tell her to forget it, I just wont go to prom. I'm tired of hearing it.
Sorry for ranting. I just really need to get it off my chest.
Tell me how American Idol goes because I cant stand to be in the room with her watching it with her fussing at me and unfortunately she has my tv in the living room because hers went on the fritz a few days ago and we haven't gotten a new one yet.
Prom dresses
Does anybody know any girls in need of prom dresses??? If so I have some I really want to get rid of!!!
This first dress is a City Triangles Dress in an 11. I wore it to prom last year. I love the dress with its tube top and light pink and baby blue sequins across the top. It has an off white color and is a genuinely gorgeous dress.
This is me and my best friend who also borrowed one of my dresses last year to go to prom. This dress is a Niki by Niki Livas in a size 11. It is a baby blue dress with a white flowedery design.
