Carie tells all!!

It's finally time for me to get around to doing my weekend recap.

Friday night, My parents and I picked up my niece and went to Steak ad Shake. I know such a fancy place to go on a Friday night, but we couldn't handle taking her everywhere. We of course did get milk shakes :)
Later Friday night, my brother showed up with his wife and other two kids.
I did however go to town before they got here and pick up some highlights. They are a bronze, reddish color. I hope it looks good in my hair. I'm slowly building up the courage to go over to my besties house and let her do something to my hair. Ive never colored my hair in any way. The ladies at the hair place the other day swore up and down that I needed some highlights to finish off my look. I'm really hoping this color comes out at as red as I want it to!!

On Saturday my grandparents came up and we went on our flea market run. Then I spent the rest of the day with this little bundle of joy!!!

On Sunday, we were supposed to go to my Aunts birthday party at my grandparents' house, but it got cancelled when my Grandma got a call saying that her brother who had been battling cancer for about a year now had taken a turn for the worse and that they did not expect him to make it through the night. Seeing as how my brother's little girl had to go home at lunch time to take pictures with her other family so Vianne and I deciced to make cookies. Luckily I had already baked the cookies earlier in the week and put them in the freezer so all we had to do was pull them out and decorate them. She had a good time and made me promise to put the pics of her cookies on Facebook..she's only 3!!!




The had to leave Sunday night :(

And my Grandmas brother passed away yesterday morning. I sadly had to change my fair plans, no fried oreos for me, and will be leaving here tomorrow to go to Alabama for the Visitation and Funeral. Please keep my Grandma in your prayers, she is having a hard time losing her baby brother. Also keep my family in your prayers as we struggle with the loss.

On a different note, here are the pics of my hair that I got cut like 2-3 weeks ago..lol

Oh and I got the best, best, best suprising phone call Saturday. I didn't have my phone so I didn't realize I had missed a call, but my mom's phone started going off. I took the phone to her and went outside to get something out of the car and she came bringing it to me saying it was for me. Well, I was expecting it to be my sister because that's who's number had called me and when I said hello, I was greated with the best voice ever. I don't know if any of you remember, Stephen, that I talked about all the time while I was at my sister's during the summer. Well he had went visiting my sister and her husband over the weekend and it just so happened that he showed up on the weekend that I suprised my sister by sending them yummy halloween treats. They ended up sharing with him but he called me to ask me why I didn't send him any and said he wanted me to mail him some and that he really wanted one of "them red cakes" I make. I had to laugh. He was referring to my red velvet cake. My sister got on the phone after he finished talking to me and told me that he just had to call me and talk to me. It made my day. And of course my sister informed me that he was going to meet up with us at Christmas time and that he wanted a "red cake" when he did. I was soo happy. It's just the little things that exite me!!!
